David graduated with a Mathematics and Philosophy degree from the University of Manchester before qualifying as a Chartered Accountant.

Since 1997 he has been a Tax Partner in the Global Professional Services Firm Ernst & Young. He has predominately held Leadership roles with the firm leading the UK&I Tax practice and has worked in the greater Manchester area for 25 years.

David has 2 children and lives in Cheshire.
