Dominique Lauterburg

Dominique Lauterburg is a Senior Lecturer in Law at Manchester Metropolitan University. She took up her post in 2002. Prior to this Dominique was Senior Lecturer in Law and LLB Programme Director at the University of Sunderland and before that a Senior Lecturer in Law at Liverpool John Moores University and Lecturer at the University of Central Lancashire.

Born in Switzerland, Dominique was brought up and educated in the UK.

Dominique gained her first degree in French at the University of London, King's College in 1982, followed by a Law Degree from Liverpool John Moores University in 1991 and a Masters Degree in International and European Law from Liverpool University in 1997.

Dominique teaches and has research interests in the Law of the European Union, Employment Law and Food Law. She is Subject Leader for the Law of the European Union and Employment Law on both the Full and Part Time LL.B degrees.

Dominique is the author of Food Law: Policy and Ethics (Cavendish Publishing) and edits Core Statutes on Employment Law for Pallgrave Macmillan.

Dominique has been an active member of her trade union for many years. She was the Law School Natfhe representative at Liverpool John Mooores University and a NATFHE case worker at the University of Sunderland.

Dominique is currently the Chair of the MMU Branch of UCU (the University and College Union).

She is the elected Academic Staff Representative on the Board of Governors.
