MMU assures its academic standards through its engagement with external reference points as established by the Quality Assurance Agency Framework for Higher Education Qualifications (FHEQ) and through its alignment with the QAA Code of practice for the assurance of academic quality and standards in higher education. This is demonstrated through the curriculum frameworks and through the development and implementation of the Institutional Codes of Practice (ICPs).

The standards of the University's awards are regulated through the Regulations for the Academic Awards and Related Matters of the University and by the assessment regulations for taught programmes of study.
