Recording Lectures

Disabled students with a range of impairments who have difficulty taking notes in lectures usually receive a voice recorder from Disabled Students' Allowances to enable them to record taught lectures.

SKILL, NATFHE (now UCU) and the DRC (now the Equality and Human Rights Commission) produced guidance to clarify any queries around the rights of disabled students to record material versus the rights of lecturers in terms of intellectual property rights.
