Accommodation in Cheshire
35 miles from Manchester and set in attractive semi-rural surroundings, the Faculty has a choice of residential accommodation.
Booth Hall, situated across the road from the Crewe campus, is the most popular and main residential area. The development was completed in September 2005 and consists of 799 en-suite bedrooms arranged in eight blocks of self-contained flats each housing seven students. Each flat has its own well equipped kitchen/dining/social area and these are offered on a self-catered basis.
A number of flats on the ground floor have adapted rooms for disabled students; these flats house either five or six students, there are 26 adapted rooms in total.
In addition there are three traditional halls (Barlow, Davenport and Harley) on the Crewe campus, they are three storey buildings housing up to 55 students in each hall.
The bedrooms are a generous size, suitably furnished and every room has a wash basin. Each hall has its own common room, and there are shared bathrooms and kitchens suitably equipped.
All of the halls are very close to where you will be studying, check the location map to see where the halls are.
The Accommodation/Welfare office is situated in the Student Zone on the Crewe campus. The team is available to help and advise you about any queries you may have.
The accommodation staff can also help if you choose to live in private accommodation. Information about houses and flats is available from the office throughout the year, although approval is not implied as accommodation is not always inspected.
The team are happy to discuss accommodation with you and to help you with any difficulties that may occur when you have found somewhere to live, for example, procedures concerning rent payments, tenancy agreements or conditions of letting. The Accommodation/Welfare Officer is also available to assist you with problems relating to your well-being, personally clashes with landlords or other tenants and changes of accommodation.
