Postgraduate and mature students are welcome in all the halls and many will endeavour to place you with other like-minded students.
There are a number of Residential Advisor positions which are suitable for mature and postgraduate students in Manchester. If you are interested in applying for one of these positions please contact the Residential Services Office.
Please note that MMU Halls of Residences do not offer 52-week contracts although some privately-owned halls will.
We only have single study bedrooms which are not suitable for students accompanied by their partners or families. If you will be living with your partner or family we suggest you look at private accommodation.
Students with families are advised to apply directly to Manchester Student Homes who have more suitable accommodation available including private accredited houses.
Private student accommodation in Crewe can be found on the Studentpad website and there are number of local agents who have family houses available for rent. If you prefer to live in a city environment and are able to travel to Crewe you can apply directly to Manchester Student Homes.
Residential Advisors form an integral part of the halls pastoral care team. They are available to provide resident students with support and guidance and take appropriate action in case of emergencies. Advisors are usually on duty (on a rota basis) during weekday evenings, and weekends for urgent matters.
Postgraduates or mature undergraduates who fulfil the allocation policy criteria are welcome to apply.
Moving into halls was so easy. Being from Belgium I didn’t know Crewe or where to start with sorting accommodation, but with halls there was somebody there to welcome me and everything was included in the price so it was very straightforward. Charlotte Cassiers MA Business Management
