Can you tell me a little about the University?

We have a history dating back 150 years. Educating over 36,000 students from diverse backgrounds, we offer over a 1000 courses and qualifications in subjects ranging from Art & Design, Business, Engineering, Health & Social Care, Law, Science and Teaching to name a few.

What type of vacancies do you accept?

Providing opportunities follow our best practice in recruitment, we will advertise:

  • Graduate-level roles and training schemes
  • Some unpaid work experience positions
How can I raise my organisations profile on campus?

We can help you to organise employer presentations on campus and provide suitable accommodation. We advertise the presentations via our website and social media, and also email staff and students to highlight upcoming events.

Do you accept vacancies from Recruitment Agencies?

We ONLY accept vacancies from recruitment agencies if they are able to provide us with the name and location of the company they are recruiting for. Read more in our Policy towards Recruitment Agencies.

How can I be sure the Careers & Employability Service is the best place for me to place a vacancy?

The Careers & Employability Service supports the Best Practice in Graduate Recruitment National Code of Practice. We have a duty of care to our students and graduates and reserve the right to edit or omit vacancies according to suitability, and in line with current employment, equality and diversity legislation.

What other services do you offer Employers?
