The Careers and Employability Service can guide you through every stage of your career planning. We will work together to help you make informed decisions that will put your plans into action. We can help you to find opportunities, make applications and succeed at interviews.

We offer one-to-one appointments which can be booked on the day, either in person or over the telephone, in the All Saints Building, Manchester and the Laurence Building, Crewe. Careers & Employability Advisers also run appointments at Hollings, Didsbury and Aytoun. Further details are available on our appointments page . We also offer a careers advice by email service.
Attend our workshops and get advice from a Careers and Employability Adviser. Our website also provides lots of useful handouts and career guides to guide you through CVs, applications and interviews. Contact us if you’re stuck.
If you are looking for help to generate suitable career ideas, you can access an online guidance questionnaire. You may find it helpful to see a Careers and Employability Adviser to discuss the career suggestions, entry requirements and recruitment processes in more detail.
Our mentoring service Mentormatch puts you in touch with an online career Mentor. Mentors can help by offering you more in depth information on the realities of the career you have chosen, access to contacts to set up work experience, feedback on CVs, applications and job interview as well as helping to encourage you to realise your potential.

MMU students can use the Careers and Employability Service up to three years after you graduate. Alternatively you may use the Prospects service for graduates.
If you have a disability or impairment, learning difficulty, health problem or are D/deaf, then there is additional support available to you. Marina Matosic is our Careers & Employability Adviser who specialises in the area of disability. You can pre-book an appointment with Marina by calling 0161 247 3483.

Jobs4students recruits for student ambassadors and temporary assignments within the university. The Student Union Job Shop also advertises part-time work.
Volunteering MMU offers a free brokerage service for Not for Profit (NFP) organisations across Greater Manchester and Cheshire. The aim of this service is to help students to develop their employability skills by gaining experience within the community, supporting a wide range of organisations.

Recruitment / Employment fairs, Careers talks and Employer presentations start from early October onwards.
The Civil Service, NHS, Accountancy and many blue chip companies require applications to be submitted in the autumn term.
