What’s your situation?

I applied through UCAS but didn’t meet the grades of my chosen university.

First, you need to check UCAS Track to see whether your place has been confirmed or if you have been unsuccessful.

Please make sure you understand the UCAS procedure for securing your place at university.

If we offer you a place at MMU, you will need to submit clearing applications and supporting information within a limited time.

  • I’ve been unsuccessful in securing a place at my chosen university.

If you have been unsuccessful, call our Clearing Helpline on 0161 247 3000.

When you call the Clearing Helpline, make sure you have the following information with you so your enquiry can be processed quickly:

    • UCAS Number (if applicable)
    • Full details of any academic qualifications you have
    • Full address (especially your postcode), contact telephone number and date of birth
  • I’ve been accepted by my chosen university, but no longer wish to take that place.

If you have been accepted but no longer wish to take your place, you can speak to someone on the Clearing Helpline on 0161 247 3000, but we cannot offer you a place until your original university agrees to release you.

When you call the Clearing Helpline, make sure you have the following information with you so your enquiry can be processed quickly:

  • UCAS Track is showing me as neither confirmed or unsuccessful.

If UCAS Track is showing you as neither confirmed or unsuccessful, please contact the original university you applied to find out if you have secured your place.
