Our Environmental Sustainability Policy 2010 provides a framework for the management of environmental issues at MMU.
Our Environmental Management System (EMS) gives us a structured framework for managing our environmental impact. Our EMS is EcoCampus, an award scheme for the higher education sector that allows universities to be recognised for implementing a phased Environmental Management System and to reduce the risk of non-compliance with environmental legislation.
MMU has introduced substantial measures to cut its emissions, and our Carbon Management Plan .pdf, 192k is allowing us to take stock of our current position, and effectively plan for a more sustainable future. It sets out the actions we’ll take to reduce C02 emissions by 50% by 2020.
