Zero Waste 2010 for Students

How does Zero Waste 2010 work?

A green bag will be placed on your handle or be left at your reception area. All you have to do is fill the green bags with your unwanted items and post through the clothing banks or leave them at the collection points specified at your halls.

Even better, if you live close to an Oxfam shop, please take it straight there instead.

All unwanted items are reused and donated to charities in and around Manchester to benefit our local communities… if they can’t be reused we’ll recycle them.

Help us re-use & recycle as much as possible: when you make a donation, fill out a slip at reception or write on the wall of MMU Zero Waste 2010.

You could win Green Pound Vouchers

A prize draw at the end of July could win you Green Pound Vouchers to spend in the best green establishments that are working to reduce Carbon Emissions and their impact on the environment.

…Help reduce waste to landfill, energy and emissions.

Put your unwanted items in…

Please ask at reception where your nearest clothing bank, collection boxes & recycling bins are located.
