Gift Aid is a simple scheme that enables charities to claim an additional 25p from every £1 donated by UK taxpayers (and this is eligible for the government’s ‘matched’ funding scheme for English Higher Education).
In order for MMU to reclaim the tax you have paid on your donation (s) you must have paid UK income tax and/or capital gains tax equal to the tax that will be claimed.
Please note that we can only reclaim tax on donations made from a personal bank or building society account. We cannot claim Gift Aid on donations made from company accounts.
