Scholarships – undergraduate, postgraduate and international
A scholarship can give someone with the academic ability the advantages and opportunities of an MMU education, as well as rewarding achievement and the entrepreneurial spirit. Offering subject areas that service industry, commerce and the professions, the University has built up an enviable reputation for providing work-ready graduates that employers want. Ninety-two per cent of our graduates go straight into employment or further study within six months of graduation.
Scholarships ensure equality for the disadvantaged; scholarships provide access to higher education to those who otherwise would not consider it at all; and scholarships give someone the opportunity to improve themselves and contribute to the world in which they live.

Bursaries
Supporting students while they study is a major priority for MMU. To ensure that academic achievement and entrepreneurial potential shape MMU’s student body, your gift could fund non-repayable bursaries to those students in most need.
World-Class Professional Bursaries
MMU aims to promote an entrepreneurial spirit among its student community by offering business-focussed courses as part of many of its degree programmes. There is also a University-wide drive – as part of the aim to be The University for World-Class Professionals – to improve the employability of MMU graduates once they have completed their studies and a donation can support one of our employability schemes.
Innospace is one such example of MMU’s commitment to nurturing and supporting the entrepreneurial aspirations of its students. Innospace provides a city centre office space, with all the necessary facilities required to start up a business, but at a fraction of the cost.
The Innospace Prize is awarded annually to the student from the Graduate Diploma in Creative Business who they see as having the most commercial and entrepreneurial potential. This year’s winner was Anisha Tailor with her Indian inspired greetings card business, called Tailor Made Design. The prize involves a twelve-month tenancy at Innospace with advice from the business advisors who are based there.
‘Innospace has already opened up many marketing and networking opportunities which have helped build my business. It’s a great place for a start-up like mine and I’ve found it very helpful to get support from their business advisors, as well as from other entrepreneurs who are at the same stage as me. Innospace has helped me distribute and sell my cards to outlets across the North West and Midlands.’
