Foreword

The Health and Safety Manual complements the Health and Safety policy by providing specific information and details regarding health and safety responsibilities for managers to meet the obligations of the Policy.

The Health and Safety Manual contains the relevant policies, procedures and guidance formulated to enable appropriate staff to have practical guidance available. These will need to be supplemented by specific rules and regulations formulated for specific hazards relevant to their own particular teaching, research and work activities.

The Health and Safety Manual is dynamic and will require constant updating so it has been designed in web page and loose leaflet format.
