The Greater Manchester area is home to more international students than any other area, except for London. It’s a cosmopolitan place that really welcomes people from around the world.
Over 2,200 international students and 34,000 students in total attend MMU. We want to provide you with a fantastic experience, from the very first time you arrive at the campus to the moment you graduate (and beyond!).
Located both in the dynamic city of Manchester and in the more relaxed campus of nearby Cheshire, both locations offer tremendous study, leisure, sport, social and entertainment facilities, as well as excellent accommodation.
There’s also a special student services team, based in All Saints Building, that offers career advice, counselling, learning support, chaplaincy and support for students with disabilities.
Plus our international team provides international students with everything from social events and clubs to advice on day to day living in the UK.
You can also visit The Guide website to find out more about the cultural, leisure and entertainment activities on offer in both Manchester and Cheshire. It has essential information for students written by students like you.
You may be a long way from home, but you won’t be on your own. You’ll get a lot out of life at MMU!
