The International Society for international students

The International Society is a very popular centre for international students in Greater Manchester. Last year there were 3,000 members representing 150 different countries!

The Society has an, energetic programme of social and cultural activities, including themed national evenings, quiz nights, barbecues and theatre visits.

You can also explore more widely. It organises trips to the Lake District, North Wales, Stratford, London, York, Paris, Edinburgh, Lincoln and many other interesting places!

You can take language and dance classes at the centre – or just enjoy a coffee at small world café during the following opening times:

Monday to Friday 9.00am to 4pm

* Breakfast from 9.00am – 11.00am
* Lunch from 12.00pm – 3.00pm

There are halal and vegetarian options available and the food is freshly cooked every day.

There’s also a Hospitality Scheme that links international students with local people who invite them to their homes for social evenings or on trips out.
