We want to make sure you arrive at MMU as smoothly as possible and therefore run a free airport welcome scheme at the start of each academic year for all new international students.

2011 – 2012 Academic Year

MMU International’s free airport welcome for new international and exchange students will run from Wednesday 4th January until Friday 14th January.

To book the airport welcome scheme:

• Have your flight details ready, including your flight number and airline
• Check which terminal your flight will arrive at on the Manchester Airport website
• Fill in the booking form.

If you are arriving at another location (bus station, train station, etc) please arrange your own transport to your accommodation.

Should you wish to make your own way from the airport to Manchester city centre there is reliable public transport including:

• A free coach service from terminals 1 and 2
• The train (the fare is about £3.50)
• Taxi (expect to pay around £20 to the city centre, but check this with the driver)

To get to MMU Cheshire we suggest you travel by train to Crewe station and then get a taxi to the Crewe campus.
