To use Outlook on a University PC

• Look for the Outlook icon on your Desktop
• You can also find Outlook in the MS Office group on the Start - Programs menu.

To set up your email in another email client

Using: IMAP / Exchange ActiveSync / Outlook Anywhere

Exchange Server:

outlook.mmu.ac.uk

Ports:

POP (995), IMAP (993), SMTP (587)

NB: The Server Requires Authentication

After setting up the server details, you will need to connect to your email account using your MMU network ID or email address preceded by our domain name & a backslash (AD\), and then your password.

For example, Joe Black would enter the following:

• Username: AD\90911111 or AD\j.black@mmu.ac.uk
• Password: [ normal MMU login password ]

NB: If you are asked for a domain name, this is ad.mmu.ac.uk.

This also works for setting up Outlook to receive your MMU Email on any non-standard platform (e.g. a home PC or laptop).
