The IT Training team provide a range of IT courses to get the best from the University Standard Platform software and Student Records systems. We deliver training support for all levels of computing competency.

University standard platform software

The courses run at foundation, intermediate and advanced levels. Courses for 2013 - 2014 include Absolute Beginners, Core IT skills, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook from the Microsoft Office Suite.

Student Record systems training

Training on the University's student records systems is developed according to meet the requirements of projects and delivered as required. As new training courses are developed they will be available for booking on the course booking system

Classroom Technology training

There is a range of training materials such as podcasts, videos and user guides available to help staff to learn how to access and to use the classroom technology

We can also arrange face-to-face training sessions where required.

Project Support training

The IT training team provide support for all IT related projects. Recent examples include support using the IP Telephone system and introducing staff to Windows 7. Please check the course booking system or contact the IT Training team for information and availability of project support training.

To book a course

The schedule of courses for the coming months is available on the course booking system where bookings can also be made. Before booking onto a course please read through the course information to make sure that the course meets your needs and that you fulfil any prerequisites for the course. If you have any queries please don't hesitate to contact us. After submitting a training request, confirmation of your booking will be sent to you by e-mail.

Courses are free to staff but charges may be incurred for non-attendance of courses or failure to complete a session.
