‘Studying at MMU led me to discover working with glass and with support from the tutors I have been able to move forward in designing and producing my ideas in this unique medium.

‘I became fascinated with glass from my first day working with it. I delight in the fluid and instant nature of the material.

‘This series of work encapsulates two of my loves, water and glass. I chose water as my inspiration because I have an affinity with it. I have always loved water and learned to swim from a young age, progressed to a competitive level and later to teaching. I find glass is the ideal medium to embody the qualities of water that I love such as colour, movement and fluidity.’
