‘At MMU the course really encouraged independent learning; it pushed me to work out exactly what drives me and then gave me the support to develop my work from there.’

Polly graduated with First Class Honours in July 2007 and is now working as a Design Assistant for London-based jewellery design and manufacturing company, Simon Harrison Ltd, after being spotted at New Designers.

The Radiant jewellery set that is available through the MMU Originals online collection is inspired by archetypal jewellery, such as beads and chains, pieces that traditionally would have been handcrafted.

Polly says:

‘There is a big contrast between objects that are mass manufactured, and those produced by hand; my aim is to extract the best and most exciting qualities from both when designing and producing my work.’
