Mind, Body & Spirit Week

Mind Body Spirit Week Festival takes place from 15th March 2010-19th March 2010. It has been moved from Learning at Work week in May following requests from academic staff who found this a very difficult time to attend events due to student exams.

The aim of the Mind, Body and Spirit Programme is to encourage people to learn something new, to promote health and wellbeing and awareness of diversity and equal opportunities. The programme also supports MMU's vision to become a learning organisation.

We have a lot of new events to tempt you with this year, alongside the very popular established events such as the language taster sessions and the Elemis hand and arm massage sessions. In our bid to help save the planet and due to the size of the programme we will not be producing individual copies of the programme but it will be available online at http://www.mmu.ac.uk/humanresources/devandtrain/

So the question is really "What will you do this year?" Lots to choose from and hopefully something that appeals to every member of staff. To keep an event of this size running year after year and to keep introducing new events is down to the willingness of staff to get involved and share what they know with others. As well as staff we have a lot of external partners who are also willing to donate their time and experience to make this a success. If you would be willing to take part in future events or know someone who would be interested please contact Alison Laithwaite by email to a.laithwaite@mmu.ac.uk or by phone on 6410.
