Caribbean Carnival of Manchester
MMU is sponsoring this year's Caribbean Carnival of Manchester following the approval for a new super-campus in Hulme.
The carnival will celebrate the Caribbean tradition of the steel pan and Alexandra Park will brim with the sounds, sites and smells of the Caribbean.
Highlights will include the carnival parade, with over 20 troupes, a main stage featuring the best of calypso, soca and reggae music, mouthwatering Caribbean food and much more….
You can also join the official carnival after party, featuring live bands and DJs at Club Academy, from 11.30pm- 4.00am. Tickets cost £10 (20% discount for students, £8 with ID card).
