North West Film Archive and Troubadour Cultural Heritage Foundation present this free event 'Moving Memories' - the screening of three short films, produced and directed by Karen Gabay.
The films will combine archive footage with contemporary interviews to tell stories of Manchester’s recent past; all housed in the wonderful surroundings of The Monastery in Gorton.
Tales from Moss Side and Hulme

Belle Vue: The Gardens That John Built

Ice Cream: Manchester’s Little Italy
Is the delicious story of the makers and vendors of ice-cream, told by the Italian families and their customers.
Karen Gabay will be available on the day to talk about the films, together with North West Film Archive Service Manager Marion Hewitt.
