CIRM 2006 Conference- Destinations and Locations: Exploring the Multiple Identities of Place

An eclectic programme of nearly 50 papers from around the world has been put together, covering a wide range of issues relating to town and city centre management, tourism and destination marketing, and place, culture and identity. Presenters are drawn from about twenty countries on five continents, providing much scope for international comparisons and networking.

Full details of the programme, related social events, and optional excursions can be found on the conference website:

The Caravan Gallery ("distressingly perceptive, beautifully absurd, seriously thought provoking") will be parked outside the main entrance to the Business School during the conference, and will be open to the general public: see for further details.

The cost of the Conference for MMU staff is £110 to include conference pack, two lunches and the conference dinner at the Lowry Centre.

Bookings should be made with the conference form downloaded from the website, marked "MMU staff" then sent to the Business Development Centre in the Business School.
