National Student Prizewinner: MMU Tourism Masters Student Success

An MMU masters student has won a national prize for academic excellence.

Sandro Konderla successfully studied for the MSc International Tourism Management with eBusiness in the Department of Food and Tourism Management, and gained the highest marks of the Tourism group in acad 2010-11.

His achievement was recognised this month with the award of an ATHE prize for best MMU postgraduate Tourism student. The Association for Tourism in Higher Education makes a handful of such awards each year, reflecting candidates’ abilities and dedication to their studies

Sandro will be presented with a framed certificate at the annual ATHE conference at St Anne's College Oxford, 8-9 December 2011.

Postgraduate programmes leader Dr. Dinah Rogers said: ‘Congratulations to Sandro for winning this prestigious prize. It recognises his ability and level of dedication, and reflects well on our long-running masters programme. We wish him well in his future career’.
