MMU offers a number of opportunities to get involved in sport & physical activity at a recreational level. These activities are fun and are open to both students and staff.

This provides the opportunity for halls of residence, departments, individual courses or a group of friends to enter teams in the leagues.

Football

The intramural programme will run online using Sportalise.com as our platform. This means, that registration, fixtures, results, clubs communication will all be available for you on our MMU Cheshire Sportalise page. Leagues will be run in 5-a-side football, basketball & netball. To get going, simply follow the steps below:

Step 1: Register with MMU Cheshire (all players)
  • Go to our Sportalise page
  • Click ‘on-line signup’ and select ‘click here to register for free’
  • Activate account using the activation code that will be emailed to you
Step 2: Join the league (captains only)
  • Go to our Sportalise page
  • Click on sign up and go through the payment process
  • If you don’t have a team yet, simply enter your team name here & the system will create it on the fly
Step 3: Players sign up to the team (team members)

Six-a-Side Football

Enter a team in an organised six-a-side league.

To enter go to the soccersixes website, phone 07837070102 or 0845 300 8886, email or search on Facebook for crewe@soccersixes.net.

Staff & Student sport Campus Coaching Opportunities

Touch Rugby

This is open to both males & females. This is a fun, minimal contact version of rugby union. Sessions will take place on the 3G pitch on the Crewe campus on a Sunday between 10am – 12pm starting on the 9th October 2011 and on a Tuesday between 4 – 5pm starting on the 11th October 2011.
