Staff Travel Survey Results 2010

In May 2010 MMU carried out a full staff travel survey with an excellent response rate of 44% of staff (1504 returns). This provides some really good robust data to take forward MMU’s Travel Plan Strategy.

Headline Results

The full report & appendicies can be found here but in terms of headlines results:

The percentage of staff travelling to work by car has decreased from 59% in 2007 to 44% in 2010.

Over the same time period:

  • Train usage has risen from 9% to 16%
  • Cycling has increased from 7% to 9%
  • Bus usage has risen from 15% to 17%
