Loyalty Discount Scheme

Statement of Criteria for the
Loyalty Discount Scheme 2011/12

The arrangements for loyalty discounts in 2011/12 will be as set out below.

  • Where 2011/12 is the second or further year of study, the rate of discount will normally be the same as it was in 2010/11.

  • Where a student who has been awarded the discount withdraws or suspends from the programme of study the student or sponsor will have to repay the discount amount in respect of the fees payable for the period prior to withdrawal.

  • Where the student changes the mode of attendance during the academic year i.e. from Full-time to Part-time, the discount will be calculated pro rata on a 30 week basis.

  • The loyalty discount will be credited to the student’s account with the University and no money shall be refunded or paid to the student under this discount.

  • Students who are eligible for both the loyalty and family discounts shall only be awarded the greater of the two. Students who pay the full tuition fees prior to the 16th of September shall also be entitled to the early payment discount of £100 where the remaining tuition fee is £7000 or above.

  • The loyalty discount will not apply in the following cases:

    • students going on to top up degrees from the HND, Foundation degrees or Foundation year programmes as this is a continuation of their undergraduate course.

    • students going on to undergraduate degrees or HND programmes from Foundation year or the Foundation in Art and Design course.
