2012 Applicant Visit Days

Congratulations on your offer of a place at Manchester Metropolitan University.

An Applicant Visit Day is an important opportunity for you to learn more about us. A Visit Day gives you the chance to view our world class facilities, meet your fellow students and learn more about your course directly from your tutors.

The aim of the day is to provide you with all the information that will you need so you can be confident in accepting your offer from Manchester Metropolitan University as your firm choice.

Your Visit Day:

A full Visit Day programme will be available for you to download once you have booked your place.

Typically a Visit Day lasts around four hours and gives you the opportunity to:

  • Attend an introduction to Manchester Metropolitan University

  • Learn more about the course you have chosen at an interactive talk by your tutor

  • Take part in a workshop, taster lecture, demonstration or tour of the facilities relevant to your course

  • Find out about work placements and exchange programmes if relevant to your course

  • Meet students who have applied to the same course

  • Speak to tutors and current students about studying at this university

  • View examples of student work, exhibitions or project work if relevant to your course

  • Collect information and advice on applying for student finance

  • Visit one of our Halls of Residence and take a tour of the campus with a current student

  • Talk to our Learner Development Service about support for students with disabilities

  • Find out about facilities at the University including IT support, library access, sport provision, the Students’ Union and much more.
