Can I provide my own catering?
Outside catering is not permitted in any of our venues. However, we can usually meet all special requirements.
Is parking available on site?
We'll provide details of public car parks offering competitive rates, close to your chosen venue. We can often arrange parking on site during the evenings and at weekends, and sometimes limited parking out of term-time, although this is not guaranteed. For further details take a look at our travel page.
Where is the nearest train station?
Manchester Piccadilly is the main line station for Manchester. Some mainline trains stop at Oxford Road station, which is a 5 - 10 minute stroll away from the All Saints campus. Other venues south of the city centre can be reached by taxi or a frequent bus service. The MMU Cheshire campus is 5 minutes walk from Crewe train station. The campus is also close to an easily accessible motorway network. For further details take a look at our travel information.
Do you offer room hire only rates?
Room hire rates are available dependent on your requirements. Please contact us for more details.
Will there be someone from the Conference and Events Office present throughout my event?
A member of the team will meet and greet you on arrival to check arrangements and will be available as required throughout the day.
What is the largest number of people you can accommodate at a conference?
The largest lecture theatre has a capacity of 280 people; it is however linked to the adjoining lecture theatre enabling us to accommodate events for up to 500 people.
Do you provide residential accommodation.
Yes, during July, August and early September in our Halls of Residence. Specially adapted en-suite rooms with disabled access are available at all locations. We can also recommend nearby hotels with which we have negotiated rates for MMU delegates.
Do you provide technical assistance?
The day delegate rate includes technical assistance for the initial set up and support during the day. Additional support is quoted on request.
Can I bring my own laptop?
If you prefer, you can bring your own laptop. We also have the facility in some of the lecture theatres to plug in specialist equipment as required (e.g. DV camera, mini disc player).
Do you have internet access?
Yes, all of our rooms have internet access and almost all of our sites have wireless access. Please let us know at the time of enquiring if this is one of your requirements and we will provide the appropriate ids and passwords.
Do delegates have access to leisure facilities?
Delegates may use the sports and fitness facilities available at the Sugden Centre in Manchester and in the MMU sports centre in Cheshire.
