MMU assures its academic standards through its engagement with external reference points as established by the Quality Assurance Agency Framework for Higher Education Qualifications (FHEQ) and through its alignment with the QAA UK Quality Code. This is demonstrated through the curriculum frameworks and through the development and implementation of the Institutional Codes of Practice (ICPs).

University award standards

The standards of the University's awards are regulated through the Regulations for the Academic Awards and Related Matters of the University. This document sets out the regulations relating to credit requirements, standards and award titles of programmes.

Curriculum and Assessment Framework

The University's Curriculum and Assessment Framework provides definitive information regarding curriculum structures, assessment loads and delivery of the Student-Centered Curriculum for all Undergraduate and Taught Postgraduate provision.

Institutional Codes of Practice

The University employs a range of Institutional Codes of Practice and Policies which govern a broad spectrum of activities that impact upon the student experience.

These ICPs and Policies have been developed in alignment with the QAA Quality Code and seek to safeguard academic standards and promote best practice.
