Congratulations on your offer to study PGCE Secondary Design and Technology with us, we’re looking forward to you joining us for your teacher training. This page will provide you with more information about the course, life at Manchester Met and how you can best prepare for joining us in September. You’ll also have an opportunity to speak to PGCE tutors and ask any questions you may have ahead of accepting your offer.

Design and Technology is a critical subject for helping students learn with their hands, as well as their heads. It supports learning in other subjects, such as maths, science and art. Design and technology also teaches students key life skills such as cooking and crafting, and encourages them to consider broader debates around sustainable lifestyle choices.
