Teach Carbon Literacy! (Part 1): The Science of Climate Change & Exploring Carbon Footprints

This is a virtual event

Do you work with young people? Do you want to empower them to respond to the climate crisis positively?

Join us to build your knowledge and skills so you can lead delivery of our award winning “Climate Sense” training that enhances young people’s awareness, ability, and importantly, likelihood to take action on climate change.

For young people in particular, climate change and our response to it will define their future. These virtual workshops are designed for teachers, professionals and volunteers working with young people. It will equip you with the knowledge, skills and resources to roll out the award winning “Climate Sense” programme to your own young audiences.

The event is open to participants from across the country and aligns with most local authority climate change action plans.

“Climate Sense” training meets the requirements of the Carbon Literacy standard and participants can apply for certification (at your own cost).

Our full Carbon Literacy training is most suitable for young people aged 15+ - but it includes plenty of activities appropriate for, or adaptable to, younger audiences.

When you register for this event, you commit to participate in four consecutive 2-hour evening online training workshops:

8 November (7-9pm): The Science of Climate Change & Exploring Carbon Footprints

9 November (7-9pm): A Zero Carbon World

10 November (7-9m): Our Wider Influence
