Loan and Grant Rates 2017/18

 

The amount of maintenance loan you are eligible for is dependent on your household income and when you enrolled onto your course. The table below details the rates for 2017/18 for new students in 2017/18 and those who were new students in 2016/17.

These are the standard figures, MMU’s academic year is three weeks longer, so you will receive an additional amount to cover these weeks. The weekly rate is £59 per week if you are receiving the parental home rate and £90 per week for the elsewhere rate. The maintenance grant and special support grant are dependent upon your household income.

Please note there are different rates than those above are for those students who are eligible for benefits except those who are aged 60 or over on the first day of the first academic year of their course.  Please contact the Student Financial Support Team for further information.

 

The table below details the loan rates for 2017/18 students who enrolled after September 2012 and before September 2016. A means-tested maintenance or special support grant of up to £3,482 may also available for this cohort of students.
