Manchester Metropolitan to host series of events celebrating the positive impact of degree apprenticeships
An exciting programme of online events and insight from Manchester Metropolitan University’s degree apprentices and employer partners will be shared throughout this year’s National Apprenticeship Week.
National Apprenticeship Week is an annual event, which will take place between February 8 - 14 and will showcase the positive impact that apprenticeships can have on communities, local businesses and economies.
This year’s theme will focus on ‘Build the Future’, highlighting how employers train, retain and achieve with apprenticeships, helping individuals and businesses to transform their future.
During National Apprenticeships Week, the University will be sharing the success stories of some of its apprentices and employer partners as well as hosting a number of events, including a Degree Apprenticeship Open Evening and a series of Employer Webinars.
An Open Evening on February 9 will give anyone considering a Degree Apprenticeship the opportunity to find out more and have the chance to meet some of Manchester Met’s current degree apprentices who will share their experiences. There is also a dedicated session for parents and guardians to get a clearer understanding of Degree Apprenticeships.
Employers looking to provide Degree Apprenticeships can attend the University’s free employer webinars, where advice will be shared on the type of funding available, the amazing benefits of having apprentices and how to get started implementing apprenticeships within a workplace. Dedicated webinars will explore the University’s Leadership and Management, Laboratory Scientist, Health and Social Care, Nursing, and Digital Apprenticeship programmes.
Liz Gorb, Director of Apprenticeships at Manchester Metropolitan University, said: “As the leading university provider of Degree Apprenticeships*, we are excited to once again be part of National Apprenticeship Week and to have the opportunity to share and celebrate the fantastic achievements of our apprentices and our employer partners, particularly after such a challenging year for everyone involved.
“We are delighted to be hosting our events to showcase the many benefits and positive impact choosing a Degree Apprenticeship can have.”
