You’ll often be in complex and challenging situations but you’ll help to bring about social change through working in partnership with individuals, families and communities.

On our BA (Hons) Social Work course you’ll truly appreciate the difference those individuals make, learn how to communicate with people with a range of needs and develop your skills whilst on placements.

Our BA (Hons) Integrated Health and Social Care course will help you explore how health and social care services are most effective when they work together. You’ll understand how the support and care a person needs changes as they age or how to recognise a person’s strengths to make a difference to their life.

We aim to develop your resilience and help you learn ways to manage the situations you’re faced with.

Our undergraduate courses have been designed and developed in consultation with employers in the health and social care sector​. The course content is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge employers are looking for.

Teaching excellence

Industry mentor

Develop creative and decision making skills by working alongside employers and working professionals from settings like local women's charities.

Rise programme

You'll have the opportunity to extend beyond your curriculum by participating with Rise and its distinctive skill-based workshops which help you secure extra credits to add to your CV.

Placement experience

You’ll undertake two practice placements, a full-time 70 day placement in year two and a full-time 100 day placement in year three.
