Easter break opening hours 2024
The University will be closed from Good Friday (29 March) and will reopen on Tuesday 2 April. This includes most campus buildings, catering outlets and specialist teaching spaces.
John Dalton East, Central & Tower will completely close from Tuesday 26 March while essential electrical work takes place. The buildings will re-open as normal on Tuesday 2 April.
A number of services will remain open over Easter, and you can still access online resources, including:
Library
The Library will remain open 24/7 during the Easter break. The Help Desk and Chat services will close at 19:00pm on 28 March and will reopen at 9:00am on Tuesday 2 April, visit the Library website for more information.
Study Support
The Academic and Study Skills Service, including the Writing Project, will close at 5:00pm on Thursday 28 March for the Easter break and will reopen at 9:00am on Tuesday 2 April.
If you would like help during this period, then you are able to access a range of screencasts, videos, and resources for all our courses and workshops on Moodle. Writing feedback is also available 24/7 via Studiosity for L3, L4 and L7 apprenticeship students.
Wellbeing Support
The Counselling, Mental Health and Wellbeing Service will be closed from 4:30pm on Thursday 28th March to 8:45am on Tuesday 2nd April 2024. Students can still access a range of resources including our self-help wellbeing pages, 24/7 wellbeing support and our wellbeing podcasts.

Student Hubs
The Student Hubs will be closed from 4:30pm on Thursday 28 March to 9am on Tuesday 2 April. During this time, you can find answers to hundreds of questions on the Digital Student Hub. We will pick up any enquiries submitted over the Easter weekend from Tuesday 2 April.
Sport office and facilities
The Sport office will close at 4:30pm on Thursday 28 March and reopen at 10:00am on Tuesday 2 April.
Platt Lane Sports Complex will close at 10:00pm on Thursday 28 March and will reopen again as usual at 8:00am on Tuesday 2 April.
Sugden Sports Centre will be closed on Friday 29 March and Monday 1 April, but open as usual on Saturday and Sunday. Members can use the Manchester Aquatics Centre facilities on the Sugden closure dates.
