Excellence in Research - Manchester Metropolitan University is committed to matching its high reputation for teaching with parallel excellence in research. Research at MMU is structured around ten research institutes.

Dalton Research Institute (DRI)

Healthcare Science Research Institute (HSRI)

The HSRI engages in world leading and international scientific research to improve health and well being. It incorporates the Institute for Biomedical Research into Human Movement and Health (IRM) and the Centre for Food, Nutrition and Health (CFNH).

Institute of Humanities and Social Science Research (HSSR)

HSSR is a newly created research institute that incorporates research in English, European Studies, History, Information Studies, Languages, Law, Philosophy, Politics and Sociology. • Learn more
