What is a Foundation year?

A foundation year can help you adjust after high school study so you are ready to join year one of your chosen degree programme. Foundations are perfect if you need an extra layer of study and support.

All our Foundation courses covered in this section lead to Manchester Metropolitan University degrees via an International Year One course, progression is automatic if you pass all required modules.

Your visa will cover the entire period of study in both your foundation year and bachelor’s degree, so there is no need to reapply after you have completed your foundation.
