Find information on reservations, renewing items and requesting books we don’t currently have in stock.
How to reserve
How to borrow
You can borrow up to six items using your Manchester Poetry Library membership card. If you are a member of staff or a student, you can use your staff or student card and can take out up to ten books. Most items will be loaned for two weeks and then renewed automatically on a weekly basis, unless reserved by another user.
We will notify you by email when items are due for return, so please check your emails regularly.
How to reserve
If an item you want is already out on loan, you can reserve it. You can do this through the library system when searching online, or by a member of staff at the library desk.
How to renew
Your books will be automatically renewed unless someone else has reserved them.
How to request a book we don’t have yet
You can request books we do not have on the request an item page. We are always building our collection and your suggestions can help us add to it.
Lost or damaged items
If an item on loan to you is lost, stolen or damaged, please report this to staff at the desk as soon as possible, or email us at poetrylibrary@mmu.ac.uk.
