🎞️ Step back into Manchester’s past with the North West Film Archive (NWFA)! As part of Manchester Central Library’s celebrations marking 100 years since Manchester’s Civic Week, the NWFA will be showcasing fascinating films from its collections on Monday 5 October. Discover footage of Civic Week and Manchester’s communities, from the wholesale markets and Ship Canal to refuse and recycling collections. Later in the day, catch a special screening of the 1946 film A City Speaks, exploring how Manchester worked and its vision for the post-war future. 📍 The Civic Week films will also be on display at Manchester Central Library throughout the week. ✨ Free to attend and no booking needed, just drop in!
