The impactful colours in our brand palette are easy to recognise and recall, which helps build and strengthen our brand identity. They’ve been chosen carefully to complement each other while offering variety and depth.

Specific-use colour palette

The use of our primary colour palette helps to reinforce our brand identity and ensure consistency across everything we communicate. There are however a few circumstances where we can make use of a limited number of additional colours to help strengthen our message.

The colours in this specific-use palette may be used sparingly, but only for the following reasons:

Red is only for use in selected international markets where it is seen as symbolic.

Kingfisher blue is only to be used for wayfinding signage.

Green is only for use in materials highlighting our sustainability credentials or for the Institute of Sport.

Special finishes

You can use our logo with special finishes like metallic inks and foil, blind embossing and spot UV.

These production methods aren’t for everyday use — they’re reserved for special items like:

  • formal communications from the Chancellor or Vice-Chancellor
  • alumni and high profile events
  • certificates
  • some merchandise
  • flagship corporate publications

Only the Design Studio should produce these special finishes. You’ll need to consult with them if you need to include these in an asset.
