Biography

I am the Assistant Director of the Centre for Learning Enhancement and Educational Development (LEED), responsible for leading the Digital Education (DigiEd) Team. This includes both the centrally based team and the Digital Education Specialists in each of the faculties.

LEED brings together the University Teaching Academy, Digital Education Team and Education Innovation and Initiatives unit.  Our expertise ensures that pedagogic scholarship and innovation are at the heart of our curriculum enhancement, educational policy and practice. This enables us to grow the capability and reputation of our educators.

I joined Manchester Met in 2018. Prior to that I was employed for 18 years at the University of Liverpool, firstly in a staff development role, and then for the last 8 years as the Head of the TEL Team. I have a PhD in E-research and Technology Enhanced Learning from Lancaster University and a Masters degree in Sports Science from Bangor University.
