Stuart Parkin BA (Hons), PGCE

I am a Digital Education Specialist within LEED and my focus is on supporting the use of digital tools for the enhancement of teaching, learning and assessment at the University. 

I have a particular interest in effective design of engaging resources and how students can maximise their learning through retrieval practice and other methods. Within the Digital Education Team, I lead on the use of Kahoot!, H5P and The Cave which is based at the Brooks campus. 

I joined Mancehester Met in March 2021 following 13 years, working at The Manchester College supporting teachers and students across FE, HE and Prison education. After completing a PGCE in Post-Compulsory Education in 2007, I worked with secondary aged pupils in a pupil referral unit, before relocating to Manchester to work as a Dyslexia Support Tutor. My focus on Assistive Technology in this role led me to support the wider use of learning technology. 

I am currently studying on the Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in HE (PGC LTHE)
