What is Future Me Plan?

Future me plan is a personal development plan for students. It helps them navigate opportunities, reflect on their experiences, and share their progress. You can support your students with their plan and help them set goals.

The four stages of Future me plan

We encourage students to:

  • Map – Plan their journey and set short or long-term goals.
  • Experience – Try a range of different experiences.
  • Reflect – Consider how their experiences have shaped their thinking.
  • Share – Curate their story and share it with others.

Staff can find Future me plan information, templates, and resources on the Future me plan intranet page.

Students can learn more on the Future me web page and in the Future me plan area on Rise.

Graduate attributes

Graduate attributes are the academic abilities, transferable skills and personal qualities that Manchester Met students develop as part of their university and other experiences.

Staff from across the University have collaborated to develop a set of six graduate attributes which Manchester Met students are encouraged to develop throughout their university journey. These attributes are:

  • Digital
  • Connected
  • Interpersonal
  • Autonomous
  • Sustainable
  • Enterprising

These attributes can be used alongside Future me plan to guide students in their goal-setting and skills development. Students can explore the attributes on the skills employers look for web page. Staff can find graduate attributes information and resources on the graduate attributes intranet page.
