Call our Clearing helpline. The lines may be busy, but we will answer your call as soon as possible. Have this information ready:
- Your UCAS Personal ID (PID), if you have one.
- Full details of your school and college qualifications at Level 3, such as A-Level and BTEC and Level 2 (GCSE).
- Your contact telephone number.
- Your email address.
- The course that you’re interested in.

Accept your offer
If we offer you a place, you’ll need to add a Clearing choice for the course on UCAS Hub within 48 hours.

Submit your application to UCAS as soon as you can to make sure you meet our timescales.

You can decline your firm offer. You can check your current application status on UCAS Hub. This will tell you if your new place is confirmed or if your application has been unsuccessful.
Make sure you understand the UCAS procedure for securing your place at university.
UCAS Hub is showing your place as confirmed
If UCAS Hub is showing the place you originally applied for as confirmed, you are expected to go to this university.
We’re happy to talk to you on the Clearing helpline, and we can offer you a provisional place if you meet our entry requirements. However, we can’t formally process and confirm your offer until you release yourself into Clearing on UCAS Hub.
If we offer you a place at Manchester Met, you’ll need to add the course as your Clearing choice on UCAS Hub within 48 hours. For more information, find out how to apply through Clearing.
If your results are better than your confirmed offer requires, you can apply to Manchester Met through Adjustment. Find out more about Adjustment on the UCAS website.
UCAS Hub shows you’ve been unsuccessful
If UCAS Hub shows you’ve been unsuccessful and we have vacancies for your chosen course, you can call our Clearing helpline to find out if we can offer you a place.

You haven’t got your place at your chosen university
If you’ve been unsuccessful, call our Clearing helpline.

- Your contact telephone number.

- The course that you’re interested in.

You’ve been accepted at your chosen university, but now don’t want to go
If you’ve already been accepted elsewhere but no longer wish to take your place, call our Clearing helpline. We can offer you a provisional place if you meet our entry requirements. However, we can’t formally process and confirm your offer until you release yourself into Clearing on UCAS Hub.
When you call us, have this information ready:
- Your UCAS Personal ID (PID), if you have one.
- Full details of your school and college qualifications at Level 3, such as A-Level and BTEC and Level 2 (GCSE).
- Your contact telephone number.
- Your email address.
- The course that you’re interested in.
UCAS isn’t showing if your place is confirmed or unsuccessful
If you need to find out if you’ve secured your place, please contact the university you originally applied to.

UCAS Hub confirms your place
If UCAS Hub is showing the place you want as confirmed, you don’t need to do anything. You’ll soon receive an email about what happens next.
In the meantime, you can head over to our Welcome section. You can log in with your MMU ID and access information about your course and term start.
UCAS Hub shows your application was unsuccessful
If UCAS Hub shows you have been unsuccessful, this means we have not been able to offer you a place at Manchester Met this year.
Your school or college may be able to offer advice on what to do next.
UCAS Hub doesn’t say if your application was confirmed or unsuccessful
Please be patient. Your decision could be outstanding for a number of reasons.
If your offer is based on qualifications that we don’t receive from UCAS, such as GCSEs, you’ll need to provide evidence of your results by sending copies to the admissions team who are dealing with your application. To find out which team to contact, visit our admissions contact page.
