Kaye Tew, Director of Manchester Children’s Book Festival

Festival Director, Kaye Tew was invited to speak about the Manchester Children’s Book Festival on the Children’s Books Northern Highlight Blog this month. 

Co-founded by Tilda Johnson, Emma Layfield and Liz Scott in 2020, CBN aims to connect published children’s authors, illustrators and publishing professionals living in the NW, NW, Yorkshire and Scotland.  The network seeks to promote members’ work, new books and events.  They are particularly keen to bring focus on the importance of regional diversity in children’s books and the industry. 

Kaye was delighted to speak about plans for forthcoming MCBF events, links with the Manchester Poetry Library and the wonderful ‘Northern Spirit’ she has experienced during her years of working with Manchester organisations and individuals.
