MA Study

Colleagues from across the Centre teach on our MA specialism in Postcolonial Studies. The Postcolonial Studies specialism in English Studies offers you the opportunity to explore a range of world literatures in relation to postcolonial critical theories and the social, cultural and political legacies of western colonialism. You will study national and global literatures in the context of contemporary critical debates such as theories of nationhood and migration and emergent debates on race, identity and globalisation. In the process, you will analyse the ways in which writers from different regions draw upon non-western cultural traditions and practices to generate new modes of seeing and writing our interconnected world.
