Catherine Ward

Catherine was Chief People Officer (CPO) for three different organisations: BMI Healthcare, a leading private sector healthcare in the UK;  Interserve, a FTSE 250 Plc,  which employed 80,000 people in 40 countries in facilities management, engineering and construction, and, the British Council, based in 100 countries, representing the UK overseas in the fields of English language, education and the arts, and running English language training globally.

Before these  Executive roles, she worked as a consultant for KPMG, she led the occupational psychologists team for psychometric assessment specialists SHL, and ran her own HR consultancy business with a focus on managing the people implications of acquisitions and mergers.

She is now working as a portfolio NED. She is an External Commissioner to the House of Commons Commission which leads on developing the strategy and providing support services for the House. She is on the Board of The London Contemporary Dance Trust (LCDT) where she chairs the Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee, and she  is an Independent Member of the RIBA Remuneration Committee. She runs a coaching and mentoring practice,  working with a network of coaching partners globally.

Catherine has a B.Sc. in Biology,an M.Sc. in organisation psychology, and is an accredited coach with the International Coach Federation.

Catherine became a co-opted member of the Remuneration Committee in September 2023.
